New Energy Improvement Program Changes
|
Governor Signed: 03/08/2023 | Full Text of Bill | bSupport |
Climate/Energy
|
From Grant Nelson: I have seen the bill and think it’s a positive step forward for CPACE in Colorado. The resiliency addition is an important one for older buildings, the water measures can only help with water conservation, and removing the hearing and the resolution are all positive steps. What the legislation doesn’t say is that the borrower has to get their lenders consent to do the loan, so what we have figured out is that the hearing and the resolution are both unnecessary steps.
| Concerning changes to the new energy improvement program, and, in connection therewith, adding resiliency improvements and water efficiency improvements to the program, modifying the new energy improvement district's notice requirements, and removing the district's hearing requirement. | House: B.
