The bill requires the Colorado department of public health and
environment (department) to distribute stop the bleed training materials and bleed control kits to K-12 schools that opt into receiving them. The bill also requires the department, in collaboration with the American college of surgeons' committee on trauma, to report the number of schools that opt in, the number of people who have been trained in stop the bleed procedures in schools, the total number of stop the bleed control kits sent to schools, and the total cost of the program for each school year.
