Summary

Sunset Process - Senate Health and Human Services
Committee. In 2019, the division of insurance within the department of
regulatory agencies (department) established the primary care payment
reform collaborative (collaborative) to, among other things, advise in the
development of affordability standards and targets for carrier investments
in primary care, identify barriers to the adoption of alternative payment
models by health-care providers and insurers, and develop
recommendations to address barriers.
The bill implements the recommendations of the department's
sunset review and report by:
  • Continuing the collaborative for 7 years, until September 1,
2032; and
  • Scheduling the next sunset review to take place pursuant to
the sunset review structure for advisory committees.
