In Colorado, individuals applying for hunting or fishing licenses are required to purchase a Colorado Wildlife Habitat Stamp. The funds collected from these stamps are utilized by the Division of Parks and Wildlife to benefit wildlife habitats and improve access to them. The Colorado Wildlife Habitat Stamp Program was initially set to repeal on July 1, 2027. However, Senate Bill 25-049, introduced during the 2025 Regular Session, proposes to continue the program indefinitely. This bill has been referred to the Senate Committee on Agriculture & Natural Resources and is currently under consideration.
